Truck World: Australia Beginner Guide

This is a hands-on sim. You get out of the cab and do the work yourself, so your first jobs feel very different from other trucking games. Follow these steps to get through your first haul without leaving the yard half-hitched.

  1. 1

Pick a job and plan your route. Look for other loads going the same way so one trip pays for several deliveries.

  2. 2

Load the trailer yourself. Place each piece of cargo by hand. If it fits, you can carry freight for more than one job at once.

  3. 3

Back up to the trailer, hitch it, connect the hoses and raise the landing legs before you pull away.

  4. 4

Use the interactive cab. The buttons and switches work, so learn where the lights, wipers and other controls are before you hit the highway.

  5. 5

Remember Australian roads run on the left. Take it slow on dirt tracks, because the truck physics punish rushed corners with a heavy load.

  6. 6

Refuel before long Outback stretches and stop at roadside motels to rest between legs.

  7. 7

Start with full-trailer contracts, then use your own flat-top trailer for individual cargo loads. The initial Early Access build has limited truck and base upgrades.
